Self-Advocacy Groups

Self-advocacy means speaking up.

Our self-advocacy groups meet up once a month and talk about what is important to them.

They usually meet in a pub or café.

They talk about everything from local news to things that affect people with learning disabilities all over the UK.

Members of the group help each other out and make friendships.

If you want to find out more about your next local meeting call Holly in the office on 01905 774247 or email

These are the groups we run at the moment:

Hello Everyone,

I have just watched your fabulous film. It made me laugh and have a few tears too. You all must have had great fun making it and remembering what Speakeasy has done over its 15 years I hope the group continues for many more years to come to give a voice to people with learning disabilities across Worcestershire I feel so proud of being a very small part of SpeakEasy NOW. Well Done Everyone!

Best Wishes to all, Jules
