SpeakEasy N.O.W

“At SpeakEasy N.O.W, together we will empower our members to speak up for the rights of people with learning disabilities through our expertise, drive and passion.”

SpeakEasy NOW is a self-advocacy charity run by people with learning disabilities for people with learning disabilities, across Worcestershire.

Self-advocacy means speaking up about things that are important.

They help other people with learning disabilities to speak up too.

We meet at self-advocacy groups across the Worcestershire.

We run a number of projects that help to ensure that health, social care and local government services, meet the needs of people with learning disabilities.

We also work with private organisations who want to give a better service to their customers with learning disabilities.

“As well as having a leading role in engagement, participation and empowerment of people with learning disabilities, their work with Transforming Care has been recognised nationally. They support a number of experts by experience who work with Worcestershire County Council and hold a People’s Parliament. I would be surprised if you could find a better organisation to work with in terms of engagement.” – Richard Keble, Assistant Adult Services Director, Worcestershire County Council
